1. Very true. Just the confidence he needed.

2. What is so good about the performance

3. Is still young major room for improvement

4. Undoubtedly class and needs to be looked at more as a decade long project rather than instantly expecting him to dominate the prem at 23 in a teething side. He needs an off-season without a World Cup to work on himself physically as well, and for the team around him to reciprocate his runs and one-twos. Long term he can be a KDB level influence and one of the best to ever put on the shirt imo.

6. Hes an amazing player. ONLY highlight/Sofascore watchers dont rate Wirtz

7. He's getting used to what's required of him. Sing a song for him at A field, his chest will burst with pride and he'll play great football.

He needs to get used to the league, and he's starting to show he can play in this league. Well done lad. The real Liverpool fans are firmly behind you.

8. Neil, you've picked his highlights and and spoken about them – 2 x ball to teammates feet from under 10 yards and the 3rd ball you described as outstanding was to late and the player receiving the ball had to slow the attack and his run to a stop so we could keep possession. I won't criticise Reds in public, but it's long past the time for the penny to drop. The lad has had 10 months of the 10 months football we've played since he signed, and whatever reasoning people have for backing him as we should and do as Reds is standard. However, it's long been obvious he can't affect games, and he seriously struggles to deal with the physicality of our league. It's not going to happen anytime soon, so let's stop banging our heads against a brick wall and when everyone's available, play Hugo Isak and one of Gakpo or Barcola. And any idea of playing him in a 3 behind the front 3 is suicidal he's too weak for us to carry, and it means we've basically got a 2 man midfield. Remember breendan trying to play Joe allen and lallana in midfield it was like under 11s v under 15s.

9. always said / say this / he is 1 fantastic player

10. Enough is enough. He is not Liverpool material. He is too classy of a player. He lacks the Liverpool DNA. We should just accept it instead ofkeep lying to our selves.

11. People criticizing, but he’s actually been really really good for us. If people actually look at the numbers of the creations he has put for other players they should put them away. It ain’t his fault.Isak is slow got no pressing needs I’d rather Nunez then him coz he’s all over that bk line doesn’t give them time bless him Isak will get benched by Hugo once again he presses even Koumas was pressing he ain’t the fit we need we have world class players he’s price tag is overrated just lyk Grealish

12. Well done, Liverpool! That was an amazing goal.

13. We play like we're rushing around everywhere. Relax, show that quality and enjoy it 👍🏻

14. All what urgently needs is our support on & off the pitch . A song for him will do the trick .

15. He needed that !

16. Cardio merchant

17. Football isn't just about scoring goals. This, for me is Football too

18. Still overrated

19. With was good

20. And we won

21. Be patient, he's in a different country, a different league, and a different style of play too; he'll definitely improve.

22. he needs people that he can bond with, like he can with Frimpong. That means some time, some new players, that look to bond too. And usually it’s easier to bond with new guys, than with player of a team that play for more than 3-5y together. -> This team needs some time to bond during this transition period. Last year of Klopp was not ideal too, so the established team players need to readapt too.

23. Sabar

24. Omds thats mad 125m for a 5 yard pass pure delusion 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

25. ❤❤❤wirtz is star boy

26. I am still willing to give him time, noticed he is now drifting across the pitch from left to right to be involved, seemed to be very secluded on the left last season.

27. Need to stop criticising this lad he’s world class just needs to click for us

28. «wirtz just took a breath, top top performance from wirtz»

29. Give him more time under Iraola. He might not score 15 goals but, he will assist 20+.

30. Last season he was creating chances but no one was taking the chances

Also last season he didn't have too good wingers ever side of him and central midfield was terrible

This season he's got two good wingers either side of him and central midfield has improved a bit

Still need another central midfielder to get the best out of him

31. People forget this lad is only 23, he will definitely come good
