Everyone said the same for De Bruyne at Chelsea. Wirtz is there for the war, not the battle.
Look what Carragher said about Casemiro 😂
He's just too lightweight, he cannot physically hold the ball – he gets shoved around and that's the end of it
The difficulty of the Prem + a year under terrible Slot + a change in tactics AGAIN until Iraola… Certainly isn't helping the lad, nor is it helping the rest of the team when he's costing us ball losses game in game out
Wirtz and palmer have similar goals and assists since last season and palmer takes penalties…and palmer is 130 million player according to chelsea hierarchy and supporters..they were asking for 100 mill for pedro neto ffs…
Wasn't just Jota's death though, if you think about it. Lucho, Nunez, Jota, Salah all tight knit. Jota dies, Lucho shipped out, Nunez shipped out last minute last seeing doing the Jota celebration pre-season after scoring. You tear their hearts out, break the group, and one of them dies, and have a coach who changes tactics to ensure play doesn't flow to Salah. Not a great idea.
Liverpool looking good.
Top top player.
I’m not a Liverpool fan but I like Wirtz. He’s a young lad and he’s giving what he can and I honestly think he’ll make it in the long run!
Antony at Man Utd has wat better starts than Wertz, but you guys killed him on this show.
Wirtz needs Klopp to return and that will never happen until Klopp wins the World Cup with Germany. Having said that I can definitely see that happening as it's the only thing he hasn't won , well not yet anyway. And Wirtz's career will be over by than.
Grief affects people in different ways, they will all have been grieving, sad not in the mood, shocked by the sad unexpected loss of their friend. You will never perform at your best when you are sad.
When was he OK Danny, I’m with Jamie C, with Wirtz, this is as good as it gets
If we are to say other leagues are not as robust and fast as the premier league, so why would prem teams venture out if our league to sign new players. Wirzt will come good when they get to grip fully with Ariola's tactics, and fitness levels return to those of Jurgen's. As for grief, the best way to deal with it collectively, is to go out and do your best to honour Diogo, just like the fans did after 20 minutes.
The whole Jota thing is an excuses (Liverpool form dropped off before)
The guy died because he was wreck less & lucky he didn't kill other people with the car he was in.
When has Wirtz EVER played as a false 9?
What a load of yapping from Murphy.
I still feel there is hell of a player in there just needs a few things go his way and get confidence
Liverpool fans are embarrassing. How are you USING jotas death as an excuse for him. Yuck
Flooring Weakz is slow, weak lethargic and that 2 times player of the year in a poor German league was a huge deception. Excuses are he needs time….well he's had too much time. He didn't do anything in WC either.
Sell weakz at any cost as he will only get slower, weaker and more lethargic
As far as Liverpool losing jota, it is not an excuse. Klopp said that having him not there affects them personally. It is a tough situation. I can sympathize. Yes there is a time where Liverpool have to let him go but it will take time . It hurts💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Sorry but people die every day and normal people have to get on with it and go to work but these clowns getting paid 2-300 grand a week are crying. Get over yourselves ffs
To me I feel the criticism of Florian writz is not fair. He will grow into the premier league but it will take time. Another thing isak criticism is not fair. If he stays fit he is a beast
RIP Diogo. 😢 🇵🇹
Exactly right. Isak does nothing off the ball, he doesn't attempt to close down. Firtz does, but is too physically weak to win the ball back in contact. I anticipate Ariola will be keen to move both on come next summer so he can then buy players that fit his high pressing style.
2 different managers, 2 totally different styles of play. He’s nowhere near his best, that’s obvious! But he never gives up, the lad is 21 and going through a rough patch. He won’t play any worse than he did in the first half v Bournemouth, but still managed to contribute to the winner. We need to back him and eventually find his form again 👏🏻
Shut up, Simon. He's having a bad spell.
Pound for pound the worst signing in PL history by a mile. Usually expensive flops still give the occasional special run. Liverpool signed a truly mediocre player for £115m.
Wirtz. Not good enough. I'm bored about hearing he's not suited to the PL. When you cost the money he did you make yourself fit. Simple. He might well have all the skills, he is missing the main ingredient:Heart. Not up for it, not interested. Doesn't have the desire nor appetite to do it in a Liverpool shirt. Not really into bashing players, but its a bad fit and Liverpool will probably have to bite the bullet and sell him off at a loss. Might be in the best interests of both parties unfortunately.
10 goals and 11 assists for Germany in 39 games, just turned 23. 40 line breaking passes in the league so far this season. Cherki 31, Rogers 31, Gibbs White 40, Palmer 46, Ndiaye 24,
How can anyone try to analyze grief and make a judgement on professionalism. Showing up, training, playing, pushing, that's professionalism. But the motivation that comes from inside, the context of your day to day, your sleep, the affect on your nervous system. You can't gauge that. It's got nothing to do with professionalism, it's human.
Really rate Danny Murphy as a pundit.
He and Simon seem to gel very well.
Jim I can give or take.
They massively overpaid and hes looking lightweight and too slow for.the Premiership
Another Hype job
When will the prem learn . Bever play huge money for a player who has never played in the prem don't care who it is.stick to that policy and you will never go wrong .
